K.L.E.S’s B.C.A was started as a department of Computer Science in 1999. Now it has come up with its own wings in P. C. Jabin Science College Campus with more facility for the students relating to Computer and the department has highly qualified faculties and has excellent hardware and software resources. In K.L.E.S ’s Bachelor of Computer Application, we look at education differently. For us, education does not lie in the qualification of knowledge, it lies in the quality of knowledge that helps form the character of students.
Affiliated to a Karnataka University, Dharwad but does not follow its syllabus or curriculum. Academic independence, which gives it the freedom to revise the syllabus with time and follow a schedule which is more suitable for the curriculum. Exams are conducted by the institute itself and are in accordance with what is being taught during the session. Degrees finally awarded by the affiliated University which generally carries a lot of reputation. We form them as 4 C’s. Competent, Committed, Creative and Compassionate candidates.
The passion is not only to make students graduate, but also mark them technically strong, emotionally stable among various IT professionals. This is what made K.L.E.S’s B.C.A climb to the top in the league of colleges in India. KLE’s BCA under the roof of P C Jabin Science College is an AUTONOMOUS College, recognition as College with Potential for Excellence by UGC, the status of first reaccredited college by NAAC, Lead College in Dharwad District in TQM by Govt. of Karnataka and so on.
The Course – BCA
The BCA Degree Course is designed specifically to aquip students with Computer Technicure & IT skills, by intensive and innovative traching methods the institution grooms its student to excel as future ITcians. The state-of-the-art Digital Von computer laboratory and well qualified & experienced faculty mould the students successfully to place into the IT indestry. The emphasis is on helping students learn the theory and apply it successfully in developing information systems The basic purpose of the BCA Degree is to create a new breed of professionals trained in computer application to meet the organizational needs of the IT industry & provide a strong foundation in technical aspects of computer and their applications. The institute gives an insight into organizational analysis techniques for creatively designing business processes that improve performance and leaming in work groups & imparts a basic understanding of concepts, strategies, tools, and advanced techniques of computer applications
BCA is 3 years degree course affilated to the Kamataka University Dharwad. It is a six semester course, each semester with 6 months duration. The course is assigned to give theoretical & practical exposure to the computer Hardware Software Management, Software Development, Software Testing, Personality Development
The last semester also includes project work, where the knowledge acquired during the course’s implemented to carry out industry level projects. The theory & practical exams are of 100 marks each (70 marks university exam +30 marks internal Assessmentmarks).
